Working on the Fading Hearts Patch and Future Plans

E-mail Print PDF

At the time of writing this article, E3 2010 is underway. Pretty impressed by the Nintendo 3DS and it's features. I certainly would want a 3D camera. This started to get me thinking about the future of Sakura River.

It has been several years since Sakura River started. The one thing that we can offer that no one else has is an interactive story that the player has a large influence over. We offer more control over the story. No big budget title yet that I have heard of has offered this. I have played Mass Effect 1 and 2 and they haven't done it at that level. I have seen how Heavy Rain plays out and in one of the interviews, the writer said that there are "no secrets." I am wondering if anyone else is going to release a game with more player control over story.

So what's next with Sakura River Interactive?  There is one project in the works. We are also looking to pitch game concepts to publishers. We are still going to make more games with interactive stories that the player has a large influence over. We're also looking to some opportunities in Japan. We'll be at the next Fan Expo in Toronto selling our games. That's it for now.

The future is an interesting thing to think about. Unexpected trials, seemingly miraculous events happen occasionally. It's something to look forward to with wonder.

IGW Free DLC in Production and Next Game in Planning

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that the free DLC for Infinite Game Works is in production now. Also the next project(s) is in the planning stages. They would be IGW Episode 1 and Don't Save the World: An RPG.

More info at a later date! We're still alive though.

Game Events Adventures: Episode 2 ~ December Toronto Anime Convention 2011

Welcome to the second episode of Game Events Adventures! This time I headed to the December Toronto Anime Convention to sell hard copies of our game! No electricity this time but man it was packed in the small room.

This time I used the almost one-man-exhibit kit where I held 2 boxes in my arms, a backpack, 2 foam boards, a tripod (shoulder strap carrying), and art tube (with shoulder strap).

Starting to think that maybe I shouldn't spend so much on electricity at these. Though I'm starting to see a little saturation in the market so far but not too bad. I really got to finish up the IGW additional content patch and start the next project.

Game Events Adventures: Episode 1 ~ DIG London 2011

I seem to have a lot of crazy adventures attending game conferences and anime conventions. So I decided to try and write about it in order to inspire/scare others to do the same by giving a taste of what it's like... at least with me anyways. I should write a book about it.

I'm heading to DIG London! This is in hopes to meet some publishers and pitch my game concepts to them.

Mindless details after the break.
